SUR INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED was incorporated in the year 1948, for the manufacture of Domestic Refrigerators & Room Air-Conditioners. The company's products, which were indigenously developed, were introduced in the Indian market under the brand name 'Surfrige'. The products enjoyed a considerable market share and its brand 'Surfrige', became synonymous with quality.

Subsequently, during the mid seventies, the Company went in for a major restructuring, and morphed into an Engineering establishment that was able to successfully develop and supply a host of sophisticated Defence equipment, as import substitution items. One of the products, developed during this period was, Stainless Steel Bellows, which were fitted to the Exhaust System of Battle Tanks. This particular item was subsequently spun off into a major product line, and was introduced in the Indian Market, for the very first time, under the Brand name, 'Surflex'.

The strong technical competence developed for over more than 35 years ensure 'Surflex' Expansion Joints, to be the first choice to a wide cross-section of Indian Industry, and the 'SUR' Brand name continues to be regarded as a hall-mark of not only Quality but also of Trust. Expansion Joints are individually designed using in-house software which have been validated by external auditors, and satisfy a host of International Standards, such as EJMA, ASME, and FSA etc. The plethora of products on offer include Metallic Bellows, High Pressure large diameter Gland Compensators (Slip Joints), Dismantling Joints, large diameter Disc Compensators, Rubber Bellows and low pressure Fabric Expansion Joints.
